Hello!
Not much has been going on lately. I'm on "lock down" from long missions right now because of the leave coming up in 15 days. So, nothing exciting really is happening right now.
My sisters B-Day was yesterday, so Happy Birthday Darcey! It's the first year you're 29 for the rest of your life!
Other than not much...just getting ready for Italy. My sister-in-law Kristen and her boyfriend Dave got me a gift card for Barnes and Noble for Christmas, so I bought Rick Steve's Guides to Rome, Florence, and Venice. If you've seen EuroTrip, I'm going to be the guy with the guide books and the body pouch! I'm a dork, what can I say!

Glad to see you are looking forward to the leave, that should be an awesome trip for you and Faith. You have to let me know if the gelato is truly better in Italy...that's the rumor, but my sources are unreliable.

Jake! Prince Harry is coming to town dude...I hear he likes to party. Maybe you guys can hang out in Basra or something...you know, after you get back from your European Vacation. You know what would be sweet? If you got a beret with the name "Rusty" embroidered on it and wore it everywhere you go.

Jake make sure you check out the topless beach it is a beautiful view of the ocean. I hope you and Faith have a great time as I am sure you will. It is good here. The new baby is kicking Mary so much it is making her whole body hurt. I think we have a name. It will either be Rayessa Cadence or Cadence Rayessa not sure which yet.

By the way we have a new tradition of going to Alpine Valley for a concert on a yearly basis. Just the 6 of us. You know who the six are. Well this year we are buying Jimmy Buffet tickets. As a matter of fact Cathy is buying them this mroning so that will be a fun thing when you get cak.

Hi Jake, I'm sitting here with Aunt Faith and Alex waiting for Uncle Jake to come on and talk to us! And by the way, the Buffet tickets sold out almost immediately, so we'll have to pick something else at Alpine, don't worry, it doesn't matter who we see, it's the company we keep! Hey jake, long time no talk. glad to here all is well, and don't be ashamed of your dorkiness. Wear it proud, man! Like a pocket protector, or masking tape on the nose of a pair of glasses. It is these things that define us from the rest of the masses, the cowards who refuse to wear a...dare I say it...a fanny pack. :) Now personally I wouldn't be caught dead in one, but hey, more power to ya brother. haha yeah it's about that 5:30 here in lovely, yet somewhat soggy, Vernon Hills and I'm doomed to stay until 7. so I'm just a teeny bit slap happy. I can't wait for you guys to come home! Josh finally gave us a date last week :) If all goes as planned he'll be back in time to surprise my daughter at her birthday, and we can celebrate his 21st together.
