Hello Everyone!
It's been a week or so since I last updated my blog, so I thought it would be time again! First comment..yeah the Bears lost...sucks. I'm not a Bears fan, but I was rooting for them, so Mr./Mrs. Anonymous that posted the comment before...I'm a Viks fan of course, but I live near Chicago and have to root for the home team when they're at the big game! To bad Rex dropped the ball, literally!
I got to watch most of the game up in Baghdad at an MWR (Moral, Welfare, and Recreation) building...which wasn't the same (no beer, chips and dip, pizza, hot wings, etc). They played it on AFN (Allied Forces Network) which doesn't have commercials, so one of the best parts was left out! My Mom taped it for me though, so I'm sure I'll be getting that soon! Hey...I'm a marketing person, the commercials interest me! I did miss the last 1/3, but from where it was going before that, I pretty much knew it was going to end as it did.
I've been CRAZY BUSY the last few weeks and I don't expect it to slow down much before I get leave in March. So, for all of you that have sent e-mails, letters, and packages, I'm trying like heck to get caught up and say hello and Thank You back!
One last little comment, since Valentine's Day is coming up quickly, I wanted to say what an AMAZING and WONDERFUL wife I have. She's the BEST thing to happen to me, by far, in my life and I don't know what I would do without her. She has really been a pillar of strength for us during this difficult time and I Love her more than she'll ever know. Faith, you're my girl forever and ever; you are perfection! Can't wait to see you in Italy!
For all you other love-birds out there...Happy Valentine's Day. For those of you still looking...keep trying, someone's out there! :)
Later,
Jake

Always good to see a new post from Jake. Here's hoping the beer and hot wings are on their way to you.
Can you send me the link to your photos? Thanks!

Thank god my wife only has time to look at the post when I show her. I won't show her the part about your wife. I agree however that she is a spendid women and a rock. I know she can't wait for Italy. I hope you guy shave a great time as I am sure you will.
No worries about the beer and hot wings when you come back we will have ahuge party and you can have all of both that you want. If it makes you feel better I didn't have either and I wish I did not watch the Super bowl. I am not even a bears fan but I was hoping they would have won.

Jake,
Thanks for the updates. I have not had a chance to read your blogs for awhile. It was nice reading the back dates and catching up with the news. I keep in touch with your mom and dad, which is really nice to hear about you and Faith. Not much new with me. Same old boring….work…play….work. :)
I am so glad there are young men like you out there that love their wife and are not afraid to say and show their affection. It keeps me hoping, maybe, some day. (ha,ha) Plus, maybe it will have everyone step back and appreciate who they are with and enjoy the life and partner they have been blessed with.
Anyway, my break is just about done, so I had better get back to work. Hope you and Faith have a wonderful time in Italy. Take care and see you soooooon.

Happy Valentine's Day to you, too! Also, consider this your and Faith's invite to the party I'm having...I told you I'd invite you next time!! I'll fill you in on all the dancing on/falling off tables when you get back :)
