Happy Halloween Everyone!
It's been awhile since I've last updated my blog. The only thing that's really changed over here since my last update is the weather. As my Mother-in-law jokes...only old people talk about the weather! :) So...I guess I'm old!
As last updated, I'm in fly season now...moving into the rainy season. Today's the first time it's rained since I arrived in Kuwait over 3 months ago. I was sitting in my tent and all the sudden I heard it raining on the tent. It's been years since I heard rain on a tent, so it was a welcomed sound. Now, the only problem with the rain is the mud. I guess it gets pretty muddy here...but oh well...so be it!
I've been going on a lot of short runs the last month, kind of "one day-ers" you could call them. It's a 3 hour drive north, then a 3 hour drive south. It usually is longer though because of mechanical problems the semi-trucks have, so the missions get pretty boring. Boring is good though, that means nothing serious happens...which is always the best thing!
For those of you that don't see my wife, she is doing well. We talk a lot via Instant Messanger and she gets to see me on the webcam...which is GREAT! I sent out the pictures from Shutterfly the other day (FINALLY), so if I didn't include you on the list, please ask so I can forward them to you! I tried to find everyone's e-mail, but I'm sure I missed a ton of people. I figured out some tricks on loading them with the internet over here, so I should be able to load much more efficiently now. Expect more photos moving foward!
Well, I just wanted to say hello and give everyone a little update. Hopefully I'll be able to update you with more interesting info soon! Talk to you all later!
Jake

Hey Jake,
It's good to hear that you are doing well. I'd love to see the photos since my CDW marketing connections are leaving by the boatload. So, please e-mail them to zed818@ix.netcom.com. Take care.
Cheers,
Jenn Novello
Jake - Jeff and I really enjoy reading these updates - we checked out the shutterfly pics over the weekend. What was up with the soap??
I'm so glad things are "boring" most days for you - we pray for your safe return!
Keep us posted on everything - just because we're moving doesn't mean we're losing touch!!

hi
FOR EVERYONE....
The soap was from a diesal/detergent mixture that the insurgents put with a large mortar round to create a fire type explosion....it's like a sticky bomb...they luckily didn't mix this one right!
