Hello and Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
It was an ODD Thanksgiving to say the least this year! Starting with the lack of Deer Hunting and driving all over Wisconsin, it was different! It did feel like Thanksgiving in a way though! I had a short mission up north that was 4 hours up, 4 hours back...so it was like Driving to Faith's Parents or My Parents house...eating, then driving back! During our little break after the first four hours, we had time to run to the chow hall and grab some thanksgiving lunch. It was good...Turkey, Mashed potatoes and Gravy, Stuffing, Candied Yams, Coleslaw, Ham, Pumpkin Pie, Cranberries...so I of course stuffed myself completely and then fought the "turkey nap" for the next four hours while we drove back home. When we got home, we were then lucky enough to catch a Thanksgiving Dinner! So...once again...same stuff as mentioned before...but more. Needless to say, I was overly stuffed and tired from all the driving and turkey; I went to bed at 8pm that night!
So, Thanksgiving wasn't all THAT bad...just missed the family a bit. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Day and are getting ready for the shopping season!
Take care!
Jake

Hi Jake,
Sounds like you missed deer season! We have a running friend who owns some property in WI and she hunts there. She said they didn't get any deer in their hunting party!! Your Uncle Jr told her that if you're hunting deer in WI you need to stand with your gun in hand right by the Highway Deer Crossing sign!!(LOL)Then she would have for sure gotten a deer! The weather is getting colder in "Up North" MN. Can't wait to snowshoe and cross country ski until the tax season comes. Hope all is going okay for you. Stay safe.
Love, Aunt Linda
Hi--me again, Just a note to let you know that you were deer hunting in spirit. You can take the man out of Wisconsin but you can't take Wisconsin out of the man. Especially during the month of November!!!
Love you,
Mom
Hey JD -
I almost canned a buck in your name driving home the other day...I was using a 2003 Durango, 4x4, with a V8 and running boards. I was just sitting there in my drivers seat when this huge beast of a mammal comes trotting onto Butterfield Road. I aimed, layed on the horn, but missed him...he was an agile son-of-a-gun...maybe next year! :-)
Keep your head down.
KK
